The 706 was available with a new Torque Amplifier design that prevented free-wheeling when going downhill. An over-center hand clutch was an option, usually found on Wheatland (standard tread) models. The 706 was available with either the Fast Hitch or a standard 3-point hitch. The PTO featured both 540 and 1000 RPM shafts, both of which turned while in use.
